Alice & Tibor, team members and founders of both Living Joy and Pickled & Pressed are committed to local, sustainable and nourishing food produced with a permaculture philosophy.
Alice & Tibor believe that a plant-based lifestyle has many wonderful benefits, including more energy, lots of texture and flavour, and the ability to nourish ourselves in a fun, vibrant and delicious way. Eating plants is sustainable, healthy and good for everyone. Everyone wins!
Pickled & Pressed was founded by them with a permaculture philosophy and an aim for zero waste.
Bennett is the 2ic at Living Joy and has been involved with Pickled & Pressed since before it was opened. He even came up with our name!
Bennett managed the sustainable renovation of the building and oversaw the fitout. With the help of some other awesome team members he built our custom counter and all of our tables and stools out of scrap hardwood and factory seconds floorboards.
He does all of the graphic and web design for Pickled & Pressed and can often be found in the courtyard with a coffee on a sunny day.
Bennett is also a qualified sound engineer, dj, multi instrumentalist & music producer.
Joel is our superstar General Manager.
Joel loves working at Pickled & Pressed because his values align. He thinks that every bite of food is an opportunity to to nourish us and fuel us to live a vibrant life.
Joel’s favourite thing on the menu is the Golden Mylk and the Magic Mushrooms. He loves being part of the team at Pickled & Pressed because he gets to share his passion for food and gets to see the faces of people trying plant based food when they realise how good it is!
Joel is one half of The Aromadudes, He teaches workshops and classes sharing his passion for essential oils.
